Can't trial new Pro version
I have tried several ways to bypass this. I had Capture One 23 (for Fujifilm) which I deactivated, and then downloaded the new Pro version. For the past few days, I get the attached pop-up everytime I try and launch the new version. I've written into support, but am doubting whether I'll get an answer. I've tried trashing the freshly installed Pro and re-installing it, to no avail. I'm imagining that there is an easy fix for this—any and all suggestions welcomed.

Thanks for the very quick response! Before you had replied, I did many (but not all) of your suggestions, and in fumbling around I managed to launch a working trial of the Pro version of 23—and I'm going to wait until the trial period is over and I've bought a license to see what happens. I can't imagine (or rather, don't want to) that software updates with a subscription will be as convoluted. (Fingers crossed.) But—if they are, I will have your suggestions to fall back on.
