    Hi Ferdi van der Sanden

We have released an AI dust removal tool in May last year, have you checked it? https://www.captureone.com/en/explore-features/whats-new#162

If this is not what you are looking for, can you tell us what is not solved by our tool?

    Hi Mathieu!

Wow. You are fast. thank you.

Yes, I have! But in all honesty: it is not on par yet. I still keeps a lot of spots in my photos.
If you can show me otherwise, than please!
Second reason: Dust and scratches is amazing for remove unwanted stray hairs and such.

I really have a lot of good ideas for Cap1, but I am a bit hesitant to bomb you guys with messages.

20 minutes? Why do you have such a massive "dust problem"? What is the context?

    Hi Marcin,

I think you need some context based on your response. Perhaps you have Photoshop at your disposal and can try what I suggest:

    • If you scan slides and negatives as raw, it's a lot of work to remove everything.
    • Dust and Scratches remove more than just dust and scratches!
    • People with very dry skin (white flakes) can be easily removed in PS. The structure and clarity slider in C1 don't work well.
    • Stubble and fly away hair can be easily removed with the PS Dust and Scratches filter.
    • Naturally reduce shiny skin with the PS Dust and Scratches filter.

This is a small list of useful options that can be done with the PS Dust and Scratches filter. If this could be done in C1, it would result in:

    1. Huge time savings
    2. Great savings of data and disk space.

Can you make sense of what I'm saying?

Yes, thank you, slides and negatives are a good-enough use case I missed! No, I don't use PS, I started with C1P and only recently started using Topaz applications for improved denoising and sharpening, nothing more.

Thanks for the feedback Ferdi van der Sanden

If you can share examples of your before and after in those different use cases this would be great for our team to really understand the results you want to achieve.

I think this might be in the realm of pixel editing, which we don't really do. But maybe some things can be done at the raw level!

    Of course,

I can make a video to show.
What is the best way to share the video, but not share them with forum-users?
I do not wat to share personal information of my clients with others.

Ideally we would have it in this forum to enable the discussion with other users, in case they want to contribute with other ways of achieving the same results.

Maybe some screenshots focusing only on the details before and after, so we don't see your whole work? A tiny crop of your images for example.

I am also scanning hundreds of negs that are 30 - 40 years old so am also trying to solve the the problem of dust and scratch marks, so I am very interested if there is a easy solution
