Capture One 23 my Session.cosessiondb files are missing.
When going back to my session folders in Capture One 23 most of my Session.cosessiondb files are missing. The newer ones are still available. Why is this?

When you say "going back to my session folders in Capture One" do you mean the list at the top of the Library tool like this one?
If so, that is just a list of recent sessions and catalogs, as a quick way of going back to them. This list is limited to the most recent 10. But you can easily open any other session or catalog from the File menu. Go to File>Open and navigate to any session or catalog file on your computer. For instance where is one that is not currently on my recents list (because I cleared it a short time ago) but if I open that one it will get added to the list.
If that's not what you mean, are you on Mac or Windows? Can you show a screen shot of the location of the folder where the .cosessiondb file should be from Finder or Explorer as the case may be.

Thank you for your response. I am on a Mac. But I am not referring to the library of recent sessions and catalog list. I am referring to the folders where all my Capture One files reside. Here are a few screen shots of my folder hierarchy where the .cosessiondb files are missing. They just disappeared.

I am sorry but I forgot to mention that this is the only version of Capture One 23 I have.

I'm not entirely sure what is going on, but something is odd about where your raw files are stored. In the FrancescaWedd folder, you have images directly in that folder rather than in the Capture subfolder. If FrancescaWedd is the name of the session, what happens if you search in Finder for a file called FrancescaWedd.cosessiondb which I would expect to be the name of the session file? If you find it, where is it?

Thanks. It is probably user error on my part. I didn't know raw files were to go into Capture subfolder and that my import was done incorrectly. Or maybe I changed the name of the folder and the link was broken? I have found a temporary remedy if I need one. And I will try your suggestions and pay much more attention to my folder structure, naming, etc. Thanks a lot for your help. It has taught me to be more careful.

If you start a new session, and go with the default setup, Capture One will create a structure like this.
If you import images to that session from, say, a memory card, Capture One will by default put them in the Capture folder. If you move images to that session from somewhere else, it would be a good idea to put them in the Capture folder. When you next open the session, it will see them. It won't automatically show you images that you directly put in the session folder (the 2023K August folder in my example).
A straightforward way to use a session is to start with images in the Capture folder; move the ones you want to keep to the Selects folder; delete the ones you know you don't want (and they will go to the Trash folder); and have the output you generate (JPGs etc) go to the Output folder.
If you haven't made any changes to the default set-up, then when you create a new session, Capture One will set it up like that, and the New Session dialog box will look like this.
Lots of users do different things and subvert this arrangement to suit their own purposes, but it's as well to go with the flow of the way that it was designed until you are confident of how it works and can adapt that if you want to.
If you have images in the "wrong" place, you can navigate in the System Folders part of the library tool to the folder they are in and drag them to the place they should be. (If you do it in Capture One and not in Finder, Capture One will keep track of your edits of those images and move them with the image files.)
