You're welcome. Chances for a bug fix are higher when you follow the official way, and add the requested log files, maybe even video etc.

Where do I find the log files?

There is no crash of Capture One or Windows.

And a video with my phone will only show, that there will nothing happen with the click on the link für picture in explorer.

I wouldn't bother too much for this specific bug, and sometimes the helpdesk staff does not ask for a full set of files for every bug.

But sometimes they do, in order not to bother the development with bugs having potentially insufficient or missing information.

If you start creating a bug report, you'll find links to pages explaining how to provide logs and screen recordings:

    Thanks again!

I got a description for the log files per mail and uploaded them a few minutes ago.

Hope, this helps by solving this little bug.

    Have you tried 16.3.8?

Yes, I checked it out, the only difference is it opens the parent directory, useless :(

Still not solved after 3 month? C1 needs to take more care for their customers having regression issues..., yes I'm one of those too.

Is this only a Windows 10 issue or does it also affect Windows 11?

If it is not a problem with 11 then the impending Microsoft attempt to drive all Win 10 users to Win 11 may not justify expending much effort on a "fix".

If I understand correctly the complaint is that, after exporting images, the "View in Explorer" link does not display the image immediately but simply shows the Folder to which the image has been sent?

So far as I can see the Folder needs to be refreshed before the newly delivered file appears, when adding new files to an existing folder. Presumably this relates to temporary memory management within Windows.

It's clunky but, to me, not a big deal. I may have missed some system setting that reduces the problem but, as I am not greatly bothered by it, I don't feel the need to investigate - especially if Win 11 does not exhibit the problem. Can anyone advise about that?

    ETA

As an additional observation, I suspect that the "Show in Explorer" option is only really offered to check whether the export has completed as expected and, perhaps, give indications about whether it is where people expect it to be!

To see the results more readily it may be a better option to also set the "Open With" option for the exported file recipe and choose a suitable viewer. Perhaps Windows Photo Viewer or some other viewing option that meets one's needs and preferences about visible content, such as EXIF data, etc.
