Copying Failed During Import
Almost every time I load files in from either a Cf-Express type A card, SD, or from my hard drive I'll get an error about a certain file, or sometimes many that will not copy. If I try to drag them in again, it just says there are already in the catalog but they won't be in the session I tried to drag the photos into in the first place
The workaround is making a copy of said file, then dragging it in again, this works every time.
I noticed if I'm pulling a ton of files in from my Sony A1, at 30 FPS it will often skip several in a sequence. So maybe if it's seeing many files that are taken within a second it gets confused?
There doesn't seem to be any concrete rhyme or reason, but this bug has been persistent for years now. I tried dragging in about 900 files from a show, and it didn't copy almost 40 of them! I had to manually find each file number, make a copy, then drag it in.

I have the same or at least a similar issue.
Import-error randomly(!) occurs when I import images taken by Sony A7R4 regardless of jpeg/raw format. (from the disk)
When I remove them and import again, the error occurs for a different random set of the files.
Interestingly I haven't experienced the problem frequently when I imported images taken by Sony A7R2 and Fujifilm X100F.
This is very annoying when working with many files; so I am considering cancelling subscription if it would not be fixed soon.
Update: I tried importing in Adobe Lightroom Classic and then import it in Capture One via Import Catalog, and it worked without any problem.

Yeah, it is definitely annoying and I don't see any way to fix or address it. They end up in the catalog, but don't end up in the session or gallery you're trying to create, regardless of whether it was brought in from an external memory card or internal hard drive
