    First of all check that the version of MacOS, or of Windows, on your laptop is compatible with your version of Capture One 23.

    Then, if that is OK, check on your account on the Capture One website that you have an available activation to use on the new laptop. Check that here

    In this example I have one activation not used - I am entitled to three, and I have two installed already. If you don't have any left, you'd have to deactivate it from one of your computers to free up an activation to use.

    If you have done that, you should be able to use the licence key shown on the site (blurred out in my example) with the version you would get if you clicked the download link shown in my screenshot. If that doesn't work for you, explain what you mean when you say that the licence key does not work. Do you have a later licence key for a later version?
