Why is there no support for Iq3 a flagship camera platform?
Why Oh WHY C1 is there ZERO support for wireless control or display for my Phase One 100MP IQ3 camera? I mean, we were sold on Capture One Pilot with the Camera when I bought it. It's in the brochure as a feature.
Now, Capture One Pilot is rendered unusable -- it doesn't connect to my camera at all. I even bought -- C1 Pro -- which isn't cheap -- thinking it would connect There is no connection to my camera now, so framing shots, and seeing the output -- which I've done tens of thousands of times, is now -- gone?
Will you get us a refund for the camera -- because an essential feature -- is now rendered unavailable -- due to no fault of our own? If you own a car and the car has tires, but the manufacturer has software specific for the tires, and decides to get rid of the software, so now your tires don't move. Don't you think working tires are reasonable expectations after you buy a car? Regardless of how old or how new your car is?
The irony is -- it worked before. It worked -- the camera even still shows up now in C1 Pilot thru the ad-hoc network. But it never connects. What did you guys do? Why not just keep it?
Instead, it appears you have disabled hundreds if not thousands of users cameras. You probably were knowing that this would happen, and end up doing it anyway. This is the same thing Apple did -- and got successfully sued in a class action --- against how their software made their phones so unusable they had to upgrade. What's the difference here? Did C1/Phase one know you would not be updating this camera when you bought the company? Do you not have a fiduciary responsibility to the users who paid 50k+ to have this software?
Today, I went to shoot the eclipse and could not frame the image using the iPad as I've done, again, thousands of times. I could not see the output as I've seen tens of thousands of times. Which delayed shots and actually made me miss opportunities that I flew to the totality to create. This is not what I expect of C1.
It's unbelievable and needs to be resolved ASAP.
Thank you.

I recommend opening a support case. This is a user forum.

Walter Rowe I think it's fair enough that a post was made regarding this, as it's user feedback, and fair feedback at that.
However, I would encourage hollywoodstills to provide their feedback here (https://captureone.ideas.aha.io/) so that the Product Management team can see it, and hopefully give some sort of background or explanation as to why support for Phase One backs has not been possible in Capture One mobile.
With your Capture Pilot issues however, I would certainly reach out to support. You shouldn't be facing any issues there and should still be able to use it as described at the time of purchase.0 -
hollywoodstills Regarding the AdHoc, this is just one of the many things that don't work anymore as a side effect of Apple hardening their software platforms. Unfortunately, we can't do many things about it since it is Apples choice to basically stop this.

I’m currently experiencing connectivity issues between my IQ3 and iPad, which previously functioned seamlessly. I believe a firmware update might address this problem.
Beyond the option of removing the CF card and importing images into Capture One via a card reader, are there any alternative methods to utilize the IQ3 on location with an iPad? I feel somewhat unsupported by Phase One in resolving this matter. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Thanks Peter! Firmware for? IQ3? iPad?

Theodore Chorianopoulos Chorianopoulos It's quite odd -- and I want to, but I don't quite believe it -- as I opened Capture Pilot, didn't work. Then proceeded to download Capture 1 mobile -- didn't work (because IQ3 is not -- for some ridiculous reason still not supported) and then went back to Capture Pilot and it actually worked. Then two hours later, it didn't. Either way both the camera and the software are really expensive and to have both -- individually and collectively not work, is wildly unimpressive.

Same here. IQ350 Captur Pilot Connection doesn’t work!!! This is not acceptable!
no updates for XF, nothing.

The protocol is non-standard and Apple doesn't allow custom protocols over their ports. That's my understanding.

David Oreiro - XF is Phase. I agree wild not to update firmware for this many years. I think the last update was circa 2019. Sad. Basically when it came out.
WalterRowe - I was working with Theodore Chorianopoulos but doesn't look like I've gotten a response just yet. The odd thing is it worked recently. But then Nada.
I'm hopeful they can sort it out or contact Apple developers to make sure it's engineered properly. SOON!0
