Go to the Metadata tool and create a preset. During import apply that metadata preset.

Walter Rowe Ok, I've saved the copyright info as a preset, and I see how I can import that preset after I create a new session. But if I'm opening a session to begin shooting into, not to import existing photos to, can I have that metadata preset apply to a session template somehow or do I have to import that metadata preset every time I create a new session?

Metadata presets are stored in the app presets area independent of sessions and catalogs. You should be able to use it from new sessions and catalogs..

SFA Shooting fully tethered, no hot folder.

Seems like each time I create a new session I have to go to the metadata tab and hit the drop down to select my metadata preset in order to get the copyright info to apply. This is a little quicker than manually copy/pasting it in but I'm still trying to figure out how to get this populated automatically when a session is created, if possible. Right now I can't figure out how to build a session template that carries this info over.

Oh, I should also note that I'm on slightly older versions of C1 and OS so that maybe that's part of the issue? I'm working with my system admin to get C1 updated to a newer version.

Currently I'm on Capture One 15.0.0.192 and OS Ventura 13.5
