Round Trip - Capture One to Affinity and back to C1

When taking the Edit With Option from Capture One and going to Affinity 2 to add a text layer. The round trip works quite smoothly. The image is saved in Affinity 2 with the 'Save With Layers' option in Affinity 2. However when the resulting TIF file opens in C1 the text layer is missing. However the text shows when the image is opened with Windows Explorer. Does anyone know the cause.

    I do not think C1 supports layered tiff.

    As far as I know, layers are an Adobe hack to the tiff standard. Applications behave slightly different with layered tiffs. Seems like C1 abide by the good old rule to simply ignore the unknown rather than report file error or crash. Some applications flatten layers into a single layer and some put layer content in the application's layers.

    Did you try to flatten the image (layers) before feeding it to C1?

    Thanks for the reply. I'll investigate flattening the image. I presume this means combining the layers into the main image.
