I would like to point out that the messages about updating/upgrading to 16.4 version are very confusing and for me it was impossible to figure out if I am supposed to pay for that and - if yes - how much. I downloaded and installed the 16.4 just to find out that this was a trial version requiring another licence key which after a long search I found on my Capture One website account (still seemingly for a trial version). To sum up - one hour wasted to return to 16.3.

I will be grateful for the information what the terms of the upgrade are and then I will decide whether I need 16.4 as I must admit I am still really satisfied with the 16.3 regularly discovering its capabilities.

  Can't you see what you are entitled to, and what you have to pay for, if you log on to your account at the Capture One website?

  It is not quite clear. What I can see is a licence key for a trial version of Capture One Studio 16.4. The 1st e-mail announcing 16.4 has a link which opens a price plan, 349 EUR and loyalty 40% off code. So, as I get it, 16.4 is not an update, it is an entirely new program - right?

  If you are on a "perpetual licence" and bought that for 16.3, then yes, 16.4 would be a paid upgrade.

  if you are on a subscription, then moving from 16.3 to 16.4 is part of what you have paid for.
