You must not have searched the forum before asking this. It has already been answered.

Canon EOS R5 Mk II support should come this week.

  • Dear Mr Walter Rowe, thank you so much for your response. Indeed I found that one but the info it contains except the date of August 28th is a little bit weak and imprecise when one needs to be "ready before the moment" respectively ready and set before a huge world sports event like the Paralympic Games. As a long time Capture One customer working in the field of photojournalism one could have expected f.ex. a factual technical info with precise requirements needed to upgrade to a specific Capture One version in order to test and be ready. Let's keep it simple. That's all folks.

It's shocking that capture one still doesn't have support for the Canon r5ii. Stuck with not being able to deliver client photos with no raw support. Had to switch over to Lightroom for this. Thinking about switching back to LR now. :(

The update supporting the R5ii is now scheduled for tomorrow (29 August) apparently.

I have a perpetual license version (20 Pro). How do you go about updating the camera support to include hopefully the newly integrated R5 Mk ii?.

The camera support is part of the newly released update. There isn't a way to add it back in to an older version.

    liar capture one

Today I took with canon r5 mark ii and it looks like tether but it couldn't transfer any files at all.

Updated eos utility and tried anything that I can do but still doesn't work and I messed up a today's project and my client.

jackson chameleon - I don't use Canon, but my understanding is that the EOS utility and Capture One don't play nicely together, I think because they are both competing for control of the camera. Can you try it without the EOS utility?

EDIT - also have you tried it without a memory card in the camera?

    Ian.
