If you buy a camera that is not supported by your version of Capture One, you won't be able to use the images from it in Capture One.

Support for the X-M5 is included in thew new Capture One version 16.5, according to the release notes.

Thanks a lot Ian for quick reply and clarification.

Wasn't aware of this, so maybe I need to re-think my initial thoughts about buying that X-M5 as buying a new CO license on top of it will increase the total price.

So maybe I'll just keep status quo for the time being with my X-T3 and X-S10 or maybe reconsider going a Sony route with a A7C that I previously have been considering before buying the X-S10. I finally ended up buying the smaller X-S10 for it's IBIS and smaller size to replace a travel friendly Sony ZV-1 I had, but was considering the A7C, but off course that would mean buying another brand of lenses and not just utilizing the Fuji ones I already had/have.
Decisions, decisions - but guess that's also part of the fun purchasing and researching for new gear :)

    Thanks again.

If you don't care about the film simulations, then you could try to convert your RAF files of the new camera to DNG with a tool like DxO PureRAW (paid, but with lens corrections & noise reduction) or Adobe DNG converter (free, no corrections or noise reduction). That should probably work with the older version still. I'm sure there are demo RAF files from the X-M5 somewhere that you can download and test with.
