Capture One 20 crashing frequently

I have been using the newest versions of Capture One for at least six years. It wasn't until Capture One 20 that I have experienced major problems. Whenever I add a Clone layer and then try to create a mask, Capture One 20 crashes immediately. This happens with myriad photos across different catalogs. A specialist at Phase One has been trying to help me with this--and I am thankful for that. We have traded messages, as well as files and screen video captures. It was recommended that I turn off hardware acceleration for processing. But that change, nor turning off hardware acceleration for display, stops the problem.

If anyone has a solution to this problem, please let me know. Thanks!

    I just figured out an important thing.

    I read here about a problem with the Leica M Monochrom (the first version) related to downloads: https://forum.phaseone.com/En/viewtopic.php?p=174247#p174247

    I, too, have a the Leica M Monochrom. I also previously had a Leica Q. I did a quick experiment across two catalogs andâ€"believe it or notâ€"Capture One crashes ONLY when I work on images taken with the Leica M Monochromâ€"not the Leica Q. I went further, with older catalogs, and found that the problem also does NOT occur with files from the Sony Rx1r or Ricoh GR.

    So my system crashing problems seems to be specific to files from the Leica M Monochromâ€"and they occur across all images and all catalogs.

    Let me add that I never had any problems with files from the Leica M Monochrom on prior versions of Capture One.

    I also checked files from the Leica M9. No problem.

    And the Ricoh GRD IV. No problem.

    Thus, for me, the problem is limited to files from the Leica M Monochrom.

    Same advice to you as I did in the other thread you referenced: open a support case.

    ...I do not have Leica Monochrom...my crashes happen when I'm selecting Output Location or Process Recipe, or seemingly at random times. CO12 did not crash...

    I use Leica Monochrom 246 and also experiencing frequent crashes, mostly when cropping images. Case opened, but there is no solution yet!

    Have you used the "Submit a request" option to ask the Capture One Support tema for personal assistance with this problem?

    What happens if you try a different Output Recipe?
