Correct C1 does not show the sum of all images in the selected folders and sub folders. I don't think you can multi select folders even and C1 does not rollup all the images from all sub folders for the selected folder either.

    You are not missing anything.

To come close to multi select you would have to use a smart collection based on some identifying metadata or colour coding or create your own dumb album and add the images from your various folders to that in order to see them all at once.

As for C1 not rolling up the contents of sub folders you can embrace that as a useful feature: In my work flow I start with a session and import the session into the catalog. I create a new session for a photo shoot, do my basic key-wording and culling and some editing. I then import the session into my catalog. I have a template for my sessions such that the selects folder is the root folder and the capture folder is a sub folder. Once I am done and have moved my best photos to the selects folder I then import the session into the catalog. Now those appear in the catalogue when I select the photo session folder. Therefore I see only my better photos as I navigate around in the folder tree. I can get access to the capture folders if I want but by default I see only my selected folders as I navigate around the catalog.

Thanks for the reply. Not sure I fully understand your workflow 🤭
A pity multiple folder selection is not available. This is the only feature that is keeping me from leaving Lightroom (And Adobe). The only other app that does it is ACDSee.

Gonna step right up here and agree that SHIFT or COMMAND+Click desired folders or ranges feels highly intuitive and would be a great addition to the C1-20 workflow

I really miss that feature too.

Please add this!! This is literally the one feature holding me back from using C1P as my everyday. I use Lightroom 90% of the time simply because C1P lacks this feature. The only time I'm using Capture One is when tethering, and then I just end up creating a Lightroom catalog for the rest of my workflow.

    +1 - I don't understand why C1P doesn't allow us to select multiple albums/folders. Major drawback

+1 Same here. It makes transitioning from LR extremely difficult. I import our family photos into subfolders by day, and there are usually many days with only a handful of pictures. It is MUCH faster if I can inspect their content with grouping, and then bulk delete the folders.

I would appreciate a convenient functionality to reorganize the folder structure, such as moving a group of a few folders into another folder. (Doing this in an external file manager would break links inside Capture One.) This is another usage case for the multiple folders selection. Please add this feature to Capture One!
