Real tools for catalog management, like export a selection to a new catalog, are currently missing in CO7. There are some workarounds, which are pretty basic. First, note that there are two types of catalog organizations, known fully managed and referenced.
Apart from these two types of catalog, there are basically two workarounds are available: a) copy and rename and b) export/import. Explanation:
    a) You copy and rename your current catalog (duplicate). Next, you remove the images you do not want in the new catalog.
    b) You export your images with adjustments to a new folder location. Next, you import the images with adjustments into the new catalog

How do these workaround relate to the two types of catalogs?

    Catalog with fully managed images
This applies when you have your images located inside the catalog. You can use both workarounds a and b.

    Catalog with referenced images
I would prefer workaround a, copy/rename. When you use workaround b, you create a second copy of your originals on export. After import into the new catalog, that catalog is linking to this location and not the location you used in your original catalog.

You can do this by few changes like
    a) copy and rename
    b) export/import. Explanation:

    a) You copy and rename your current catalog (duplicate). Next, you remove the images you do not want in the new catalog.
    b) You export your images with adjustments to a new folder location. Next, you import the images with adjustments into the new catalog

I think window 7 is perfect to work but few changes it required who works on it .copy and paste can work from the base file.
