Softproof-Function -> Does it work or not?
Usually, i use lightroom 4, on Windows, but i just wanted to try something new.
So i'm really new to Capture One 7 pro and now i'm struggling with the "softproof"-Button/function.
My workflow looks like: shoot ->import to lightroom on a calibratet/profiled monitor -> softproof with the icc-profile of the printing company = ok -> export to jpeg -> upload to this printing company = prints = ok.
Everythings works fine till i want to softproof the images.
So i go to "view" and the end of the menu i choose the icc-profile from the printing company and now Co7 changes directly the colors within the viewport.
But i only wanted to check how the images probably look like when they were printed.
In lightroom you can select this "softproof"-checkbox and you see a difference.
And this small "proof-edge"-button does only a frame around the viewport and don't switch between my calibrated systemwide installed icc-profile and the printing-company profile.
I tested this on two different machines with the same result.
So i hope somebody can give me a hint how to use Co7's softproof-function.
thanks in advance,
