Try turning off Hardware Acceleration in the preferences and see what happens when you try again.

Thank you very much, Grant. This worked for me!

Hopefully we will see a fix in the next update.

    Two things to check.

Firstly C1 should check and, if necessary, build new GPU driver kernels each time you start C1.

The kernels are required and specific to the combination of system/GPU card/GPU driver and C1 version.

In general people will see a kernel built for each viable OpenCL capable GPU facility in their system (up to 4).

If, for some reason, this did not occur for V20 there is a possibility that the V12 kernel is still in use and there may be some internal development software related parameters that lead to incorrect operation.

Alternatvely (or in addition) any OS updates or GPU driver updates form an external source MAY have an influence on the results of the kernel build and successful operation. So i may be time to check for a new driver for the GPU card(s) or, if you have recently installed the latest (whether you know it or not!) sometimes step back a release or two for the driver.

If you are comfortable with these technical things there are some guide for ensuring the kernel(s) get rebuilt in the Help pages.

If you are happy with the acceleration turned off (depending on how you work it may not matter much to you anyway) just leave it as it is and come back to it later.

It you need help to work through the process then I would wait until someone else comes along with Mac specific knowledge (I'm a PC user) or create a Support Case and get assistance fomr the C1 Support Team.

It's not difficult to do but probably not a great idea to undertake something you may not comfortable with over a weekend unless absolutely unavoidable.

There should be a log file that records this kernel build process. It should provide the information that would confirm whether the kernel build was successful or not. If you know where to look for it.

If you want to consider the technical fix for the kernel build have a look here:

This happens for me as well, 13.1.2.37, and it did in the prior version as well :(,

have turned hardware acceleration of, which solved the problem, but it would be nice capture one that it wasen't necesarry

Just saw this thread is 8 months old, I would expect a bug like this had been adressed and solved way faster,

since it's a problem in a production workflow

    Kristian,

It might depend on your hardware configuration, in particular the support offered for whichever GPU(s) you have installed.

If so the solution is likely to be beyond Capture One's control or influence.

    Hi

I haven't changed my hardware configuration, just started a week or two ago :(
