Capture One 20 Freezing

This thread reads as something quite similar. It may be work checking to see if the actions taken also solve your problem.

If this turns out to be your problem the next thing might be to seek advice about forcing the re-creating of the OpenCL kernel (See the FAQ section and other places) and also whether there are any known solutions for possibly complicit GPU driver replacement.

Same here - Capture One 20 has become unusable since the Catalina upgrade.

It randomly crashes nearly every time I attempt to use it, and causes the iMac Pro to freeze. I usually have to switch the power off to close the Mac down.

It worked perfectly well before the Catalina upgrade.

This has gone on for too long now. I was hoping there would be a patch but nothing...

    My patience is running out.

    Success!
Thought I should mention that I took the advice offered in SFA's link above and used the Catalog Repair Tool.

File > Verify Catalog or Session.

Since doing the verify, Capture One has been completely stable, thank goodness.

NOTE: The catalog or session you are trying to repair can't be open at the time.

I did the verify thing as well as the re-creating of the OpenCL kernel. I have not had issues yet, but we'll see. My main issue has been C1 locking up my entire Mac randomly and forcing me to power down and start back up. I have not had a single crash. I also completely formated and reinstalled MacOS and C1 fresh and still had the locking up issue after. For anyone interested it's on a 2015 iMac 27".
