recipe to use 4 digits from camera filename

I have a process recipe and would like to use the 4 digits from the original file name, not a new counter. Is there a variable or way of extracting that so I can use it in my process? (e.g. _DNG9932) and I want the 9932 part.

    Not that I am aware of.

    You could use Batch Rename after Processing but that may not suit your needs.
