Please port/recompile Capture One Pro to run on ARM64
I am requesting that Phase One put in the effort to port or recompile Capture One (Express/Pro/Fujifilm/Sony) and Capture Pilot to run natively on x86_64 and ARM64 instruction sets.
Captue Pilot is without a doubt a great tool. However, not everyone can/is willing/needs a tablet with iOS/iPadOS (especially if they already have a Surface device or other PC 2-in-1 or Laptop or want to have a device that functions as their Digital Darkroom via Capture One (Express/Pro/Fujifilm/Sony/Studio/Heritage) as well as use the device as a tablet for sharing and culling photos (and for live view duties with Capture Pilot).
I would consider porting / recompiling to ARM64 first, to support the new category of Surface devices like the Surface Pro X which runs on a custom ARM SOC called the SQ1. That is where the PC space is headed. Embrace the future.
Additionally I would like Capture One to become available on Android devices. That will probably take a lot of work, but I would LOVE to have even a simplified/limited/streamlined tool on my Android Phone and Tablet.
Thank You for your amazing work making Capture One what it is today, and I look forward to purchasing my Upgrades for years to come.
A dedicated Fujifilm X shooter,

This is just a user to user forum. If ARM is the future I'm sure they will do something about it but for any kind of request to Phase One you have to open a support case.
As for Capture Pilot, do you already know that you can publish to web browser too? It misses Adjust and Capture features (the latter being a paid one on iPad) and seems to be a little slower but not that much.0 -

It's been trying since the 80's 😉
Apple tried RISC in the 90's, gave up and switched to Intel in 2006 😊0 -

What parts of Capture One would you be prepared to forego?
And if you are giving stuff up what would be wrong with using an application developed for the format and the quite normal and natural limitations it imposes?

If you give up a some items, especially the complex ones, then it isn't Capture One anymore.0 -

Well, I agree but maybe Express users would be OK with that.
At what point in the mobile device hierarchy are RAW files processed in the device?
My phone will produce dng files as RAW files but it's a few years old now and I doubt there is anything on the available Apps list that would run on it and edit dng files. Memory is likely to be an issue anyway so I'm not in a position to do much investigation.

For landscape and travel photography, being able to hike light and to do the culling, rating and keywording on the hike e.g. on ipad OS would be great. Ideally in a session? For this, basic exposure adjustments and zooming up to 100%view for critical focus checking would suffice my needs. And of course backing up to external SSDs.
The real work with full functionality could be done at home with decent hardware.
