Batch Rename RAF and JPG

I have both a RAF and JPG and I want to batch rename the files. I want to rename the following file:
DSF9208.RAF and DSF9208.JPG
What I get in Name_DSF9208 1.RAF and Name_DSF9208.JPG

It's not letting me have the same file name for RAF and JPGs.
Is there some setting I'm not turning on?

  This may not be much help to you but using Windows and a Session and either of the Batch rename method options I do not see the problem you have described.
  
  Can you tell us whether this is a Catalogue and which method you used for the Batch rename along with the text or tokens used?

  MAC Catalogue.
  I can't recall which method I used. I think maybe Token?
  
  Also, if I manually try to change to file name it does not allow the same file name for both JPG and RAF. If I try and change Name_DSF9208 1.RAF back to Name_DSF9208.RAF I get Name_DSF9208 2.RAF

  I too tried that and had no problems.
