    I use aperture as my librarian and C1 as my Raw converter, works really really well.

    Can you catalog stored images with Aperture?

    In case my last question was confusing, I meant can you catalog stored images on external drives and DVD's with Aperture? That is one of the prime functions of DAM software in my opinion and if Aperture does that, I will take another look at it.

    Canto Cumlus is my recommendation. It has quite a stiff learning curve but when you know how it works it is one the best DAM systems out there.

    They also don't publish pricing. Which is generally a sign of make-a-deal pricing. Not always the most efficient use of energy.
