CR3 from Canon Eos R not supported?
Hello,
I received cr3 files from a client to start working on, but I am unable to open CR3 files from a Canon Eos R in Capture One 12.1.1 (latest version on dec 9 2020, not a Sony only, but full version)
If I am not mistaken these should be perfectly fine to open in Capture One Pro, but it does not work. I just upgraded 6 months ago so I'd like to keep using C1 12 for a bit longer. (not switching to C1 20 yet)
Did anyone encounter a similar problem and found a solution? The files aren't even recognised as compatible files. (They open fine in Camera Raw)
any help is greatly appreciated!
Sieg

Is this by any chance an EOS Ra file? -
Maybe I just forgot how C1 works or maybe there is something strange going on:
turns out I can import any raw (worked with files from lots of different cameras from Phase One to Sony/Canon/Nikon/...) BUT with these Eos R files (it seems to be R, not Ra, to answer a question from a previous reply) I can only get them to open in C1 if I drag the folder (not the files) on the C1 icon.
After playing around with it and testing multiple things I can now import the folder by using the import files dialog, and indeed (as Paul suggested) select the folder there.
Any other files I can open them by dragging 1 file onto the C1 launch icon and the whole folder with be automatically imported.
No idea why this is, but it seems to work this way 😊 -

I own a Canon Eos R and its raw files are CR2 or Cr3 if using RAW C. Both formats open on my Capture One 20. However, I just purchased a Canon G5Xii. It allows me to process RAW as CR3 files and Capture One cannot recognize them. Is that because the camera is not supported?
Based in this table of supported cameras:
https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002718118#h_af1e6c60-5aa0-4c94-aba5-07e141364fb3
the Canon G5X MkII does not seem to be supported.
You can do a feature request in a support case. The more people ask for support the bigger the chance.
