Capture Folder

Albums and smart albums are just virtual collections of images and some are automatically created on import. So images are referenced here and not really moved. In fact images don't move unless you move them somewhere else. So I can't say why you can't find them (maybe you've put them in subfolders? Did you choose to add them to the Selects folder?) but to know their actual position, choose All images album, right-click an image or a preview in the browser and choose "show in library" to find it in the library folder tree (and eventually check that that folder is properly set as Capture folder) or "show in Explorer" to open its folder in Windows.

Some good trouble shooting advice there. May I suggest another thing: check filtering. I have done this to my self before. Check the filtering panel under the Library panel. If there is a selection for filtering by keyword or star rating that yields no images to display that would explain the apparently empty capture folder. I have done it before and cleared the orange circle selections from the Filter an then see my images again.
