I found that it also crashes when I try to rebuild, or export annotations.
    Ugh. more beta testing.

I have filed a support case.

Jim I'm that fed up with it I have stared to use Catalogs in CO7 and just using MP for the exported images.

I have to say from all the posts and not having the greatest system I was expecting problems with it but it is running very smoothly indeed.

Paul, so does that mean if you have the light table open, and you "save" the catalog you are working on, that all remains good?
or rebuild a photo with the CO engine?

Jim perhaps I should have been clearer I am now using the Catalog system within CO7 as opposed to MP, and not finding the problems others have had with it. Much to my surprise.

    Hello,
first crash this morning on the import of a single jpeg.
The image is displayed with the file name and nothing more, no metadata, the gear at the bottom left turns and that's it.

If that wheel is still turning and you go to the task manager and look at processes you will probably find even if you have exited MP it is still stuck churning away in the background using a large amount of memory.

Stopping the process and restarting helps but this happens to me to many times and is frustrating, I honestly believe CO do not have a clue how to make this software run bug free and hence the new catalog feature in CO7. ☹️

This is what I do every time, but it can not work like that.
    It's exhausting!
They offer no solution for months.

edit five minute later, new crash on import 100 RAW

I am beginning to believe that.
I entered a support case which started off " Media Pro 1.4 will crash consistently ...." and I got an answer back this morning of "Please update to Media Pro 1.4."
    UGH! 😭

Next they will tell be to disable OpenCL 😉

    Hello,
Third crash of the day , but before rebuilding the catalog I could have ten.
Jim, what language do you use Mediapro ?
    Support no longer answers me.

    Nelly,
    I use English.
I also believe that they have assigned their jr programmers to the product, as they still have issues with CO 7.
I never could get a good answer to a problem I had with viewing psd files. They told me to update my codecs, but couldn't tell me which ones (the ones I had worked on a previous machine with the same software). I fixed it my self by purchasing an external set from Fastpictureviewer, which by the way, give me very rapid rebuilds in the WIC mode.

I should have known better. Trying to band-aid a fairly old set of software code to work with modern PCs and OSs generally won't work.

I am close to giving up on MP. I am waiting for the newest IMATCH5 to be released this spring.
