Cannot View Offline
Hello,
I'm using C1 Pro 8. My raw (NEF) and jpeg files are on an external drive. I just set up 4 catalogs and imported photos, storing the files in their current location. I did this same thing for all 4 catalogs. My catalogs are on my laptop, and the photo files are on an external drive.
The problem: When the external drive is not attached: one of my catalogs shows all referenced photos (both jpeg and raw). Another catalog shows only some referenced photos (a mix of raw and some jpegs). One catalog doesn't show any of my referenced photos. I have not moved any photo files or folders, everything is exactly as it was when I imported.
When I cannot see a referenced photo I get the error message: "The selected image is either unavailable, in an unsupported format or corrupted."
I have tried already: to close out and re-open each catalog, but I get the same problem.
Any thoughts as to what I am doing wrong, or what I can do to fix? I am going away on a trip and cannot bring my external drive. I wanted to view my photos offline and make small edits.
Thank you.

Maybe not all previews were generated before you closed CO8 and/or removed the external drive.
Tip: next time post in the Capture One 8 forum (maybe a moderator can move the post, not sure it is Win or Mac)0 -
Thank you, I will try that. My apologies I thought I was in the C1 forum. I'll look for that. 0 -
I wanted to report that you were indeed right: I needed to give C1 more time to generate jpegs for all the photos I was adding. Again, thank you. 0 -
Thank you for reporting back. Appreciated. 0
