Ulf can make fun of people and poke at people and lock threads.. but can't answer a simple question? I want to know what the test case was and what the final limit was. I need to know this for my business.

The current limit is 1.000.000 and we have tried working with catalogs with 800.000 local and external files. While it does get heavier to use the application for things like sorting and filtering we find that it is still workable.

    don't believe it.
yes it will work, but it will slow down to a crawl.
It is also very unstable and prone to crashing. I lost several catalogs that way due to MP corrupting the (over 128,000 count) catalogs.
They will tell you anything here to get you to buy broken software.

Keep the catalogs under the 128,000 limit.
You can search multiple catalogs simultaneously using the FIND feature.
I wanted one catalog, with everything in it. But MP simply can not handle it...so I switched to smaller catalogs and have had no problems.

Corrupt catalogs are a high-priority issue to us, if you encounter that kind of problems please dont hesitate to create a support case and help us resolve it. What version of MP were those catalogs originally created?

i stopped temporarily to upgrade to C1 9 + MPSE. i buy only a complete solutions.
secound thing thats make mee mad here is the marketing Politic.
many Bugs are been fixed in expensive payment versions.

I think tolerance has been shown.

What was the hardware used? I have tried many times and cannot get to 130,000 images. Let us see a tutorial where you are running MP with 1,000,000 images. Publish a specification for the machine. So we can all see what hardware we have to run. There is a serious disconnect between Phase One and many of their customers in terms of what their software can do.
