Tethering with 5Ds R, Live View very dark
Hello to the hive, I hope you can help me.
I was shooting tethered to my new Canon 5DsR and the Live View was black. After some testing, I found that the Live View was indeed working, but I had to bump the ISO to 6400 and change the aperture to f/2.8 to get a usable image. I'm assuming there's a setting that needs to be changed since a week ago I was using a different 5DsR body and it seemed to work fine.
Capture One Pro 9.1.1
iMac - OS (Yosemite)
Canon 5Ds R
Canon TS-E 90mm & Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8

In the camera menu settings; go to the screen that has Live View Shoot at the top. The bottom of that screen has Expo. Simulation. Click on that and set to Disable. 0 -
Anybody know how I can cancel Live view? Sorry, been using Capture for over 10 years and the first time I have tried Live view with the 5DS, But I cannot see where I can cancel or get out of live, even when I turned off the camera and back on it went to live view and I cannot see how to cancel or turn off live view in Capture One?
Thanks in advance

There's a cancel button. I don't have C1 running right now, but it was pretty easy to find. Look in C1's Help if you can't find it.
I'd highly recommend customizing your tethered shooting tab. Some of the default tools apparently only work with Phase One or other selected cameras—definitely not with my 5DSR or 7DII. Also, the default live view preview window is pretty small.
What I really miss in C1 tethered shooting is that I can't trigger the shutter with either the Spacebar or by clicking on my trackpad—only by clicking on the "shutter" button or using the Cmd-K shortcut.0 -

Thanks for the response, I could not find it anywhere and it was driving me crazy, Also the floating window would not go away, I realized you have to place it back in the tools bar to the left.. But I look and clicked everywhere trying to find a cancel live view and could not find it and it was during a job..I had to quit C-1 several times and turn the camera off several times and finally got rid of it.. But I could not see any other button to get out of Remote view..
I got to it by click on the camera control button on the tools window for triggering the camera and I pressed the live view button next to the trigger button, But then there was no option to click it again to quit it.
Thanks

I recall having a similar problem. I solved it by breaking out the camera controls (the "eye" icon, if I remember correctly) from the Tethered ("camera icon") tab. That's also how I was able to get Live View to pretty much fill my screen.
Then, I organized my "eye" controls, resized the LV preview pane, and everything works very nicely. I'm still in the process of refining my layout, but am happy with where things are now.0
