Cpu performance v10. Double Cpu higher clocks?
Does anyone have experience in double Cpu rigs?
Is more efficient have more cores or less cores with higher clock speeds?
What actions are using Cpu mainly in version 10?.
I have an i7 920 2.66ghz and two r9 280x graphics cards. Creating the Imagen when zooming use mainly Cpu. When exporting uses gpu in intervals of 2-3 seconds each 20-30s while Cpu is at 100% activity. When using gpu activity of Cpu goes down to 10-20%.
On local adjustments brushing uses mainly Cpu..
Images are in a conventional hdd. Catalog in an ssd and output through other ssd.
Takes almost 7 s to process a nef from d800 to 100% jpg. Xports never have more than 15-20 mb/s in activity monitor
I did some test in v9 disabling hiperthreading and didn't have any impact in exporting images. And maybe a limited gain 1-2%.
Does anyone have any method to test it? I tried to disable 2 cores in Windows (Through affinity between capture one and some cores)but the application crashed.

I was having probably issues with amd drivers. Now exporting nefs takes 1 sec or less for each file of 45 mb form nikon d800.
I would be pleased if someone could share some light if its better higher clocks or higher count of cores. My only disadvantage in capture one is the time it take to render the image while zoomed and panning. While panning pressinf the mouse the image is blurred and when you release the button i have a little lag of 0,5-1 secs each time between blurred-non high resolution image to the high resolution render).
When selecting the next thumb image gpu activity rises to 60% 2-3 secs (some precaching i think) and cpu rises to 50-60% but when zoomed to 100% to analyze focus or grain i experience the lag and cpu use rise to almost
