SLOW preview updates... Anyone else?
I've tried everything I know but, previews update very slowly for me. V5 was fast.
I shoot weddings so I edit quickly using shortcuts. I'll work on one image, go to the next and increase/decrease exposure 4-5 notches and nothing. I can even wait 2-3 minutes and no changes. The second I make one more notch change, the preview updates. Sometimes I wait 1-2 seconds... but most times it's 5-8 seconds before the preview is updated. In fact I've even seen it where it starts changing as I alter the exposure, but instantly pops back to the original preview... then after a few seconds, updates.
What's going on? Anyone else experiencing this? It's not just exposure, it's any change... using exposure as example.

Could it be that you are making your adjustments very quickly right after selecting an image? It seems like it.
There is a known timing issue related to prefetching the next image. Try waiting a couple of seconds before making your adjustments on the newly selected image. If that is the issue then it is fixed in the next (soon to come) service release.0 -
Yes, that sounds exactly right. I do try to work as quickly as possible. So I'll go to the next image and immediately start updating exposure/wb with shortcuts... and it will take a few seconds for those to be recognized.
Gosh I hope that fixes it. The guy responding to my support ticket seems to think this is an unknown issue and that no one has reported anything like it.

11 years on and people are still using a version of Capture One that was released in 2010?
