Capture One writes data to disk every second and deletes it
I couldn't believe it but by accident I saw that Capture One writes data into the preferences folder every second and deletes it again. What a hack?! I/O costs!
The file seems to change with name. The one I captured was:
com.phaseone.captureone9.plist.GWe8jwK
How stupid is this?

I noticed the same thing. CO 9.1.2 (and the earlier versions I've checked after seeing this) creates and deletes those temporary .plist files faster than finder can refresh the folder content. And it keeps doing so even when CO has been idle and in the background for more than an hour.
I am concerned about SSD wear-out and system load.

You're not alone:

just checked out, this happens even with just the bare application (CO1 9.1.2) running without any catallog or session open ! It seems that it's just a empty, formatted .plist . 0 -
Hello,
C1 vers. 8 does this as well - as I just found out.

Hello,
bringing this thread up again because I read a post here on the forum (wich I can’t find right now) that version 9.2 does not have this odd behavior anymore.
Can anybody confirm this?

Yup, it seems to be gone in 9.2 😄 0
