To the best of my knowledge is BMP not a colour managed format where by this is not a format which would make sense to support in a high-end RAW convertion software.
To be frank this is the first time I have ever heard this request.

Anyone else on the forum that wants to comment on the use fullness of this format?

    Hello,
BMP format is always a better format than jpeg, because it keeps more details than jpeg... And what about the fit format (used in astrophoto)?

    Thanks for your help

OK, but it's very close to the size of a TIF and still you have the colour managment issue?
FIT format has the same issue, I have never heard a request, so I would like to hear from other users if this is a major request.

    Hi Ulf,

Tiff and jpeg are enough for me. Once you have a tiff you can convert to any other format so even jpeg is just a convenience.

Dunno why a direct conversion to bmp files would be a necessity, maybe just a convenience for some small subset of users?
