Ruddy Skin
Hello all.
I am having some trouble with getting rid of a heavy magenta skin botching with some ruddy skin on Caucasians that I'm photographing. It's not a Magenta cast per se but the magenta / capillaries that are on the skin are really popping once I get the rest of the image looking like how I want it to be.
I've had a look at the colour editor and haven't had a lot of luck. I've been using the skin tone editor and that barely seems to make a difference. It's certainly very subtle. I can usually get a better result by using the advanced tab and swinging the hue hard and de-saturating, but that also isn't what I'd call satisfactory in terms of skin tone.
I'm relatively new to C1 and have been using LR for years and to be honest, haven't really had the same skin tone issues....
I'm not sure if' it's an easy correction, or something that C1 is bringing out in my DNGs...they don't seem to have the same issues there...
I'm shooting with mainly with the Leica M-E (M9) and the M8.

I wrote this blogpost some months ago. I think it will solve your case.

One thing to note is that co8 have a bit wider color span on the default pick, compared to co7.0 -
What are the basic setting being applied to the files when you open them in C1?
It would be good to be certain that they are "as expected" for the camera.
There is another recent post that seems potentially similar in terms of "redness" and Leica files.
