    Sorry I'm new to C1.
Where is the support ticket/bug page ? I didn't find it in support area.

    Go to: https://www.phaseone.com/fr-FR/MyPages.aspx

    Then "Tech Support Cases".

Phase One's reply to my support case:

    "Hi

We have just noticed and documented this issue.
We expect a Capture One 9.1.1 to be out very shortly to resolved this.

    Kind Regards
    Phase One support"

Cant alphabetize catalogue; causes crash in 9.1. Was alphabetized now it is not, and you cant resort. Over and over again is repeatable own El Capitain

I'm not having serious problems like some, but an annoyance is that the catalog/session pull down menu at the top of the Library tab is no longer working -- it only shows the current catalog/session and the clear menu choice. The weird thing is that I went back to 9.0.3 to check and now it also seems to be broken. I could swear that it worked probably before. Also, (maybe related?) my Open Recent menu also does not keep any history of previously opened items. Is anyone else having this problem?

EDIT: I started up Capture One today and the menu problem somehow resolved itself, although I have no idea why. Please disregard. Although I am a little concerned by the inconsistent behavior…

Anyone on Yosemite (10.10.5) have the Library or folder problems? Could it be El Capitan specific issue?

I'm on Yosemite and everything looks intact here.

I just upgraded to 9.1. The first this I noticed was my folders were all jumbled up so I hit right click to sort them by name and just get the spinning beach ball. 1 CPU thread is maxed out and kernel memory usage is climbing fast. Mac is becoming unresponsive to the point I can't even check the version of El Capitan I'm using.

After successfully converting a small managed catalog on one Mac, I just tried moving to 9.1 on my Mac Pro with my main referenced catalog. Bad news that I've already filed a bug report for. Both machines are running 10.10.5, so obviously my problem has nothing to do with El Capitan.

Based on what I saw, I'm pretty sure that Library tab corruption is catalog-specific and has to do with something in the original catalog.

Bottom line is that I've now created a new catalog in 9.1 and converted small referenced and managed catalogs from 9.0.3 without any problems. But when I converted my main 9.0.3 referenced catalog with 9.1, the Library tab got corrupted and C1 crashed every time I tried to remove or add tools to get the tab the way I wanted it. Also, that corruption was the same in all workspaces I tried.

Fortunately I was able to restore from one of C1's internal backups, as described in their documentation. Big relief there!

First, quit C1, then reinstall the previous C1 version you were using. then, if you're on a Mac, just right-click on the catalog icon and "Show Package Contents". Among other things you should see:
    Capture One Test Catalog.cocatalogdb

and a number of files with names like:
    Capture One Test Catalog.cocatalogdb.backup 1

Move Catalog.cocatalogdb to another location. DON'T trash it yet.

Then delete the ".backup....." appendix from your last backup before updating to 9.1.

Now you should be able to access your last catalog with whatever version of C1 you were using before.

Note that all of this is documented in C1's Help. I assume the Windows process is similar, but I don't know for sure.

As often happens when something goes wrong with C1P, PhaseOne go very quiet. Guys - I know you at least read the forums so wouldn't it be good customer service to provide an update and reassure us that you're aware of and are working on the issues and maybe give an idea of timescales? - Some form of interaction with your paying customers would be appreciated - thanks...

OK thanks - but wouldn't it be great if they just put out that message so we could all see it, or do they expect us all to raise support calls...

Alphabetizing issue here. Have had to revert to 9.03. Quite disappointed with phase one. Am waiting for 9.1.1. Programs hangs when you try and sort folders in catalogue.

9.1 Bugs, and more bugs. The healing tool has problems. If you try to move either of the points, the program crashes.
Albums and projects are missing from my library. Support is on the case. For 4 days. No help yet.
Comments and or suggestions and of course, help, welcome.

I was never able to alphabetize projects. Always had to drag and drop. With over 60 projects, how annoying. Seems like such a simple fix. So many issues with 9.1. I will never be the first on the block to upgrade ever again. 9.1.1 couldn't happen soon enough.

Is it my imagination or has Importing images slowed down a smidgeon? I've just returned from 3 days in Bruges (lovely place!) and it's taking 20 minutes to import 355 images from my SD card (Fuji X-T1 Raw and jpg).

What does "refactor" and "re-factored" mean in the context of these updates?

PS I see a few people with very long usernames like mine. Is there any way to change it?

    No!

But the D5 should be supported soon as it is a real pro camera.

    Take care

Go to the main Phase One site and click on the "My Pages" link.
Login using email address and password.
    Select "Edit Profile"
Enter Forum User Name and click "Check Availability".
If user name is available, click "Save and Continue"

Code refactoring is where you restructure existing computer code without changing its external behaviour. The objective is to make the code more readable, less complex and easier to maintain and test. A typical example is where you take a complex function that performs a large number of tasks and break it down into a number of smaller functions that each perform a less complex task. It should be a lot easier to write automatic tests for the smaller functions than for the original function.

I'm having the library tab/tool corruption issue. My catalogs open without the tab and whenever I try to add it, CRASH. I can start a new catalog and the library tool will be there, but all my old catalogs are busted now. I sent P1 the crash reports, contacted them via Twitter, and nothing. Oof.

    Hello,

    I got something similar.

When it crashes, copy the MacOS's info (logs, reports) in text files, and fill up a support case. I think Twitter is not the right way to contact the support.
    https://www.phaseone.com/en/SupportMain.aspx

    Try do to the following:
    - Backup your cocatalog
    - extract the .cocatalogdb from the cocatalog
    - Start C1, and setup backup to "always".
    - Open the .cocatalogdb, close C1 and let it backup your catalog with the option "optimise"
    - Copy the optimised .cocatalogdb back to your Mac at the original place.

They are probably aware of the bigs bugs which pop up along 9.1. Let's wait for the upcoming bug fixes release.
    Take care

After upgrading to 9.1 it initially worked for a day or two ... now all I get is a beach ball. Running El Capitan. I keep force quitting re-starting but still just a beach ball ... makes things difficult when you have client deadlines and you don't actually know when you're going to be up and running again. Everythings come to a grinding holt and clients are getting disgruntled, not good for business.

I doubt force quitting will be helping matters unless you are also taking steps to validate the catalogue is in a good condition afterwards.

You really need to create a Support Case if you have not already done so.

    HTH.

I was about to update to 9.1. Thank god i saw this forum and after reading i def. wont upgrade to 9.1 any soon.

I also want to ask about updating; if im not wrong only way to update from 9.0 to 9.1 is uninstalling 9.0 and reinstalling 9.1. Am i wrong or its really that hard to updating this program? Are we going to uninstall 9.1.0 and reinstall 9.1.1 when its released ? is that the only way of updating CO1?
