It is old, but I have "AppleScript - the Comprehensive Guide to Scripting and Automation on Mac OS X"
It is pegged as beginner - intermediate. I found it (and still find it) useful for the odd reference.

Somewhere I managed to get a PFD copy of "AppleScript The Comprehensive Guide to Scripting and Automation on Mac OS X" by Hanaan Rosenthal for free or a small price, its quite worth having.
"Applescript 1-2-3" by Sal Soighoian and Bill Cheeseman has a number of worked examples.
"Apple Automator with Applescript" by Thomas Myer has entire Applescript projects

A great place to get real working examples and code snippetes from active Applescript users and some real deep Applescript experts is the MacSripter website, you can signup for free. Some good tutorials there, as well as years of archived discussions.

Another good resource is the users forum for Script Debugger.

If you are going to get serious about writing Applescript, at least get the free version of Script Debugger.
