    Did you copy it while CO was still running on the laptop ?

    Try shutting everything down on the laptop and then copying it again.

    The catalog still contains the write lock file. Make sure you have closed Capture One. Select the catalog file (which actually a folder), right-click and select Show Package Contents and delete the file named writelock.
