Convert to EIP on Import / other issues.
I am trying to use C1 to Import images to my laptop to do an initial editing/selection pass and then transfer them to my main library on a MacPro. I am using C1 6.1.1, OS X 10.6.7 on a MacBook Pro & Mac Pro. I often have C1 crash but I kinda got used to it. But now these crashes in case 1 below are preventing me getting my work done.
1. I am importing a mixture of files from a P45+ and a Leica M8. There are various files in multiple folders that I need to import and so far I have been unable to get C1 complete the import of all of them. It simply crashes at various points. It is not consistent. This seems to be a problem introduced since asking for files to be packed as EIP on import. Is this a known problem?
2. I am trying to edit the settings on the first page in the preferences panel, but all of the items in the bottom half of the panel overwrite each other. This only occurs on the laptop, I think because the dialog is not being sized correctly. The dialog is not resizable by the user.
3. If I create a new session then create and save a naming scheme for files being imported. After my crash my saved naming scheme is shown but it is grey'ed out.

I would suggest you to do some maintenance on your systems because it is not a normal operation that CO6 crashes often:
General Mac & OS X maintenance: repair permissions and rebuild your drives and a defrag might help as well (not for SSD)
CO6 maintenance: clear process history, refresh preference files and main session file
re. issue 1: EIP packing on import should not impose a problem; report to Phase One in a case if maintenance does not improve the situation
re. issue 2: what is your MacBook Pro screen resolution? see release notes for minimum requirements; report to Phase One if your system meets the requirements.
re. issue 3: during a crash the session file can become corrupted; delete the session file and create a new session with the same name in the same location; this will recreate the session file0 -
Thanks for response.
Issue 1. Is a memory problem with CO. It is quite easy to reproduce.
Issue 2. Is fixed with 6.2
Issue 3. Is a bug and demonstrates that CO does not receive robust QA. I will retest with 6.20
