I have same problems with Canon 5d Mk 3 and M-raw files in C1. Full size raw looks OK, but M-raw still doesn't open.
I downloaded C1 Pro 6.4 today. When will you fix this?

Found a rumour that the Canon SDK for the mkIII will be released mid May

Sorry, I haven't been on the computer in a bit...

I am having the same exact issue. If I tweak the white balance, the picture displays, but its really flat and colorless. It responds to similar adjustment but it seems like a lot of work to get to ground zero. I definitely didn't have to do any of that with my old camera's raw files.

I also tried the suggestion of disabling/starting a new session...no change.

On another note...what is an SDK?

I just figured out that it is only happening with the raw files I uploaded prior to updating to the new software version. So I will just upload them again and things should work out just fine.

Thanks for the help everyone. Much appreciated.

Apple Aperture 3 AND iPhoto '11 have both already added support for the 5D Mark III.
I really don't like to switch software because I always end up doing the work all over again when Capture one catches up, but for now I find using Aperture easier then converting all my raw files to DNG 😕

Remove the CaptureOne sub folder in the image folder before opening it with Capture One. It will then rebuild the settings files and proxies. No need to import or upload them again.

Hi Stefan, in case you missed it: CO 6.4 does support Canon 5D mkIII raw files.

I bought a Mark iii yesterday with latest firmware and when attached to the latest version on C1 it states " camera could not be attached" . It sees the camera in the menu when selecting camera in the " CAMERA" tool, but again won't connect. I opened preferences and it does not allow me to register the camera.

Any clues so I can get working...

Hi Jeremy, as you can read a few post earlier in this thread, tethering support is pending due to Canon to release updated software. Raw support (full raw only) is currently available in CO6.

Best way is a workaround via EOS Utility and the CO6 hot folder feature.

Any suggestions for shooting 5D Mark3 and shooting M-RAW? I didn't figure these were unworkable in C1 when I shot them. Now I need a work around. Any thoughts - Lightroom/Apeture? I am guessing that Capture One will eventually support M-RAW & S-RAW.

To use Canon DPP is my first suggestion. I don't know yet whether other programs you mention have the ability to process sRAW. If you do, you can try and let us know. Or you can upload a few files (sRAW1 and sRAW2 are the formats I believe) and I'll check for you.

You can upload to a file transfer service, addressed to yourself and post a link to the files here in a post.

Hi Stefan, in case you missed it: CO 6.4 does support Canon 5D mkIII raw files.
    Best regards,
    Paul E. Steunebrink

I saw that paul, I check daily for updates but it wasn't there when I wrote about my work around.
I have discovered another Phenomenon though.

When importing from a card that was freshly formated the import works fine but if I eject the card ,reformat again, take some shots and then put the card in the reader the import window opens up and shows the images from the last import and none of the new images. The only solution so far is to quit C1(6.4.2) and start it again. Then the new images appear and can be imported.
Anyone else encounter this problem or should I start a support case for this glitch??

By the way I tried the same process with my 2 5D Mk II's and do not encounter this issue. It is only with the 5D Mk III

    regards,
    Stefan

Stefan, I cannot reproduce your problem on my 5D MIII...I dont know exactly what you did but I tried and could not... I'm using OS 10.7.4 and CO 6.4.2... Specifically, I formatted, imported full size RAW then formatted again, took a new shot, imported again...no prob.

I have started a new support case Paul. As usual the first step was to deactivate, delete the program and the several various files and plists in their various locations (I am becoming a pro at clean installs ☹️ )
unfortunately it did not work. I am still experiencing the same issue with the 5D MK III only.
Repeated the process with my MK II's and all is as it should be.
I am also running OS X 10.7.4 with CO 6.4.2
I shoot images with the MK III import eject card format card in camera take new images insert card into reader, import window opens showing the images from last import and not the new images. I quit C1 restart, reinsert the card into the reader and the new images appear as they should. I am stumped on this one.

by the way that is exactly what I am doing. I only shoot full RAW so this is not a unsupported MK III file problem.

I am still doing trouble shooting on this issue.
To go more in depth I deleted the entire Capture One Library folder from my user pictures folder on my Mac HD(boot drive) and did the clean install of C1 pro.
This of course created a new Capture One Library folder in my pictures folder. Using this session I repeated the process of importing images, reformatted the CF card in the Mark III took new images, put the card in and the new images did show up as they should.
I have a 100 gig Solid state drive as my boot drive so most of my sessions are stored on a 4TB internal Master Drive where I store all my files and sessions. It is here that I encounter the issue.
I have deleted the .col50 file and made a new session in the same location which rebuilds the .col50 file in the older sessions. But even after doing this I still have the same problem when trying to import to these sessions that the old images show up in the import window until I restart capture one.
I have 100's of sessions stored on my internal master drive and they all have the same problem but only with the 5D MK III.
If I repeat the process using my 5D MK II's then i do not experience this issue.
Since my Boot drive is only 100 gigs I can not realistically work out of my users/picture folder as I do not have enough space to handle a typical shooting day were we average anywhere from 30-50gigs of images every day. I have to work of my master drive. This has not been an issue with any other canon camera.
I told support that If this is confusing to understand I can be reached on my cell phone as I don't know how to describe my set up any more simply.
    100gig OWC SD Boot Drive
2x 2TB sliced together as my internal master drive and another 2x2TB together which I use as a time machine back up for my Boot and master Drive. Not a typical Mac Pro set up but it is a super fast machine 😊
I hope this helps a bit more.

I have also had the last import images show up in the import viewer. I was using the newest C1 at the time (6.3??) with a canon 1ds Mk 2. In the image import viewer, it was showing what had been previously erases from the card. In the finder, the correct images were displayed. I hit import and the correct images were imported, so be sure to import even though the wrong images are being displayed in the import viewer. Really freaky. Has only happened once to me.
