Allright back to a variation of my first question.

And sorry if this is a stupid question, i am still learning.

Lightroom catalog now imported and now references the files.

    I watched this movie - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IylO2Hxegkg

I now want to move the files into the catalog.
When clicking the root HD folder, it does not show files in subfolders etc.
So i would now have to select each and every sub folder manually, of which i currently have about 500 and manually drag each folder onto the catalog icon in the folder section?

Is there not a way to select all the images in the folders or multi select the folders and move them into the catalog in one move?

Otherwise it almost seems easier to drag all the original files into C1P and rebuild the file structure from scratch, since there will be less subfolders.

Again, sorry if this is yet another stupid question.

Why would you want to move the files to the catalog ? Keeping them referenced is more flexible and will also allow Lightroom to keep access to them.

Because i want to migrate my entire Lightroom catalog into C1P, and only use C1P from here on.

So instead of keeping multiple catalogs and having files in different locations, i would combine everything in C1P.

You still don't have to move all the master files into the catalog, you can just reference them in the Capture One catalog and then just stop using Lightroom.

Supporting sizzlngbadger's last post, you have worked referenced with your Lr catalog, now you work referenced with you CO8 catalog. You just stop using Lr's catalog... A migration could not be easier. 😉

Of course, you are free to move your images wherever you like.

Furthermore, the Lightroom import keeps many adjustments from Lightroom like cropping, straightening, exposure, etc.

Rebuilding from scratch will cause you to have to redo adjustments on every image.
