Do you mean that C1 has reverted to the default workspace, or that you are unable to load a saved workspace? I have found C1 producing its default workspace after an upgrade (I can't remember whether it has done it every time or just sometimes) but if you had saved your preferred layouts etc, you can load it again. (Window menu -> Workspace...)

Yes all my previous saved workspaces have disappeared. Why is this happening now but didn't before?
Window menu>workspace does not show anything but standards - none of mine.

Have you checked whether the workspaces are saved in the right place?
    - In the Finder, hold the Option key while clicking the "Go" menu and select "Library"
    - Navigate to the Application Support/Capture One/Workspaces folder.

Are your workspaces there? If not, then there's a problem and I have no idea how they got deleted. If they are there, you might try quitting Capture One, moving the Workspaces folder to your Desktop and then back to the Capture One folder and see if that fixes the problem.

You might also try dragging the Capture One preferences files to your Desktop and restarting Capture One.

If the workspaces aren't where they should be, you could restore them from a Time Machine or other backup.

Suggestion for the future: save a COPY of the ~/Library/Application Support/Capture One folder AND you Capture One preferences to a different location. This has saved me a couple of times: once when upgrading C1 a while back and a couple of times when I tested beta versions.
