Windows 7 Pro Vs. Windows 10
Hello Everyone,
What have been Y'all experiences updating from Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10. Do you find Capture One to run more stable and/or faster? Mayby a better way to ask the question, were you happy when you upgraded or sorry you did it?
I like Windows 7. I have another machine with Windows 10. I am not wild about the Windows 10 interface nor the automatic updates. I have not spent enough time on Windows 10 to become familiar with it; however, if it runs better, I will do the time. It is hard to teach an old dog new tricks.
Thanks,
Roger

Install CO on the Windows 10 machine first and have a play.
I don't know if it's faster since I haven't used windows 7 in 4.5 years.
If doing an upgrade, I would highly recommend a clean install of 7.
To me at least, the windows 10 experience has been painless.0 -
Thank Y'all very much. I just might take the plunge this weekend. I am glad there is software to mimic Windows 7. I have a machine, in my shop, running on Windows 10. I upgraded about a year ago knowing Microsoft would force me there just the way they forced me away from NT. I use the machine just enough to know when I want to find something I know it's going to be a frustrating pain.
I will let Y'all know how it goes and I I see a change in speed (no complaints there) and/or stability. I have found the latest version to be buggy and unstable. I feel sure it will addressedd promptly.
If anyone of you are in of the storm ravaged areas, you are in my thoughts and prayers and we are all pulling for you.
Have a good week,

Use some drive imaging software to make a copy of your drive before upgrading perhaps. 0 -
I'm trying to use C1 v10.2 on a Windows 10 machine with 64GB of memory and twelve logical CPU cores.
Each keystroke or mouse-click is taking from thirty seconds to two minutes to even register.
Surely, even that crock Lightroom cannot be slower than this dog.0 -

What is the RAM usage?0 -
For what it's worth, there are a lot of arguments to stay with Windows 7 Pro as a platform.
For me, the negatives of Windows 10, and I use it extensively elsewhere, outweigh the benefits.0 -
