    Hello Phase,
My C1SE #3N34-XXXX/etc Mac has LOST it's 1Ds Camera profiles AND Color Management is BLANK???? in the Preferences pane.
I had a Computer upgrade to G5-- How do I get the facilities as I had before please.
I've tried unsuccessfully for the past 2 months to get an answer or a pointer to self correct from Phase.

    Thank you,

    Des

What have you done to solve the problem ?
-Have you reinstalled the software ?
-Check you permissions with disc utility...

I had this exact problem for a while. I haven't seen it lately, so are you sure your C1 is up to date?
Anyway, Checking permissions may help. If not, do you have C1 installed on another computer? I found that copying all the Phase One profiles from another machine to the one not working (replacing where necessary) completely resolved the problem. I have no explanation for why this would work when a reinstall wouldn't, but there you. I even deleted all the same profiles and reinstalled when trouble shooting, but got no joy. Go figure.

EDIT: You may be able to just copy the profiles to your desktop and right back into the same folder and accomplish the same thing. Be sure to copy them, though. Not move.

    Hi Jef and aaan,

Grateful Guys for your help but I've tried everything under the Sun. I posted this problem on the PictureFlow Site months ago and only got well-meaning folks like yourselves answer--silence from Phase support. As I have a net Download version--no CD-- I can only burn and re-install--no avail. All permissions/ Disk W /G5Software/etc up to date--heavens Phase --all I did was get a new Comp--why this agro and I have to forfeit my profiles -is beyond me.

Funny thing I have just had an E-mail from the local Importer of the P25 back offering me a deal to purchase it--with this lack of support from Phase -- I think I'll pass on that offer!

    Sadly

    Des W

PS I'll mail the said offer if confirmation required.

Tell me what you have done under the sun, besided the things I wrote above....

    What kind of G5 ?
    Os Version ?
    Ram ?

Have you tried to remove everything including the preference file and reinstall it ?

Let's come to the bottom of this problem once and for all then.
What operating System do you use.
What version of C1 do you use (Version number)
Can you see the camera profiles in /Library/ColorSync/Profiles
    or /Users/%your username%/Library/ColorSync/Profiles
If so in which of the two directories?
Try trashing prefereces which can be found in
    /Users/%your username%/Library/Preferences/com.phaseone.application.c1dslrse.plist

    Good morning Ulf,

Thank you for your reply. The wonderful software was performing flawlessly till my change to the G5 Dual 2Gh 4GB Ram OSX10.3.5

    C1 SE 3.5.2 v1082

    Yes

    Yes

Did that and restarted countless times.

Basically as I explained I have no camera ID nor setting panel no Color Mgnt panel,no Icc nor camera profiles-all gone with the wind !

    A:No 1Ds panel appears only camera default-no setting pane for Rel/Percep /etc--Blank

B: No Color magmt settings -when I click on Edit this list for ICC etc --the Panel is Blank.

C: Instead my ICC profiles are some weird lot I've never heard of-- all my Phase Back profiles are also gone-I was intending to take up Tim Holmes offer of the P25 trial next week--no use without the profiles.

I do not have a CD to re-install as I have a Web receipt DK 204131

I would have taken advantage of the excellent Pro upgrade offer months ago if my present program had'nt failed in this way.

    Big shame

    For Jeff,

Hi again thanks for the help-yes to all of those!--see my answers to Ulf above-- what cheeses me off is WHY an upgrade to a better faster Computer causes such a hassle!

Let's see if it sorts --I'm running out of hope rapidly

    Grrrr

Just a quick hunch on my part, and it may not do anything, but it's worth a shot...

On your computer, go to the applications folder and the folder where your C1 is installed. Highlight the C1 program and do Command-I to bring up the info.

One of the expandable items to look at should be 'plug-ins'. If you can see that, expand it out and look at the list there. Make sure that on that list there is 'Color Management.prefpane' both listed and checkmarked. If it is listed and not checkmarked, checkmark it. If it isn't listed, or if it is listed and checkmarked, you may need Phase One to provide you with a patch. It seems like your Color Management preference pane is rather broken. If there's anything else on that list that's unchecked, you might do well to check it as well.

I just deliberately unchecked my Color Management prefpane and got much the same results in my interactions with the software. Of course this was on C1 PRO -- your results may vary.

Did you try copying profiles to your desktop and copying/replacing them back to the proper folder?

When I had this problem, a clean reinstall did NOT help. Do you still have your old computer around? If so, network or otherwise connect them and copy the profiles from old to new. Where on your HD do you see the profiles stored?
