Hasselblad support update 2020
Implemented-
Hi Nicolas,
Thank you for feedback on Capture One - this is always welcomed and encouraged among our users and we appreciate the time you've taken to contribute towards the development of the software.
I have forwarded your comments and suggestions on to our Product Management team as something to consider in a future release.
Whist we cannot comment on future releases, we take all suggestions on board and hopefully your feedback contributes towards a future version of Capture One.

NDT,
I think the basic answer to you question is that some time ago the working arrangements between the two competing camera manufacturing companies became strained and on a point of Principle there was no desire to support each other's products.
At the moment that situation seems to persist.
There is a saying that "It takes two to Tango". Whether your request will have any influence over the matter is unknowable.
As your comment is not driven by a current need (and indeed sounds to be entirely speculative in a philosophical sense) it may not carry much influence - but then I would not anticipate any reason that it should. Even it it were to be driven by a personal need I get the impression that alone would not make much difference - but you never know. Things change over time.
Personally speaking I would not be at all concerned about the support of another camera manufacturer's products unless I was actively considering investing in their range for some specific need. At that point the many thousands of units of currency I would be about to spend would have far greater significance then which relatively low cost software I would need to be able to produce images with the hardware. If the software was more important than the hardware my decision would probably be made for me.

@SFA
Thank you for your insight and opinion.
Being a Hasselblad user, my query is driven by necessity as I find C1 to be a better platform to catalogue and edit my photos. Also, though Phase one may be the uncontested king of the "sensor hill", I would hope they are able to fathom that, as witnessed by the fall of myriad empires and rulers before them, this will change. Counting of hardware sales alone is short sighted from a business perspective. Phase one is owned by a private equity firm who I am sure is accountable for "the bottom line" so it makes business sense to make C1 universal as it only expands financial opportunity.
In any case, in the highly polarised, politicised climate we live, I wish the management of these two excellent companies was evolved enoughto rise above their differences and find common ground.
The end result would benefit not only the consumer but themselves.
Meanwhile, I have found no way to import DNG or TIFF16 (converted from FFF via Phocus) into C1.
Stay safe and healthy.

NDT.
As a Hasselblad user have you already asked Hasselblad for their opinions?
Your comments about rising above and common ground are very worthy but the longer I live the less I think humanity will tend towards agreements unless due to some sort of short term enforcement. Probably the sort of enforcement that would eliminate choice anyway.
That things work in such a way may, ultimately, be a strange necessity for the species. Indeed nearly all species.

I have issued the same plea to the Swedes. However, in the end, (not being a programmer) doesn't the choice to task someone to decode and thus support FFF files falls on the RAW programmer not the camera maker?
Ironic you should mention your skepticism about and solution for humanity's inability to find common ground as, just this morning, over a coffee-with-friends, I posited that maybe the solution to all of this partisanship might be an all-knowing, all-caring ruler, someone who would look out for everyone's best interest regardless of race, creed or gender - a "benevolent dictator". Since the very nature of absolute power corrupts thus making this an impossible dream, we're stuck with each other. All we can do is aim high.
Take care.

I think that there may be a need for cross licensing of technology and some sort of formal agreements to prevent constant accusations of misappropriation.
Then again many years ago I worked for someone who wisely understood contracts as statements of mutual mistrust. Especially technical contracts.
People in the company would spend many hours wading through pages legalese in contracts trying to ensure there were no errors or gaps in coverage. The greater the mistrust the more sections and pages in the contract. USA contracts were far and away the largest documents though one often suspected that was because the people that created them were paid a page rate.
If, for whatever reasons of history, hatchets need to be buried before shared progress can be resumed the mutual commercial benefits of the burial need to be rather obvious. With the camera market the way it is and, more broadly, the imaging world the way it is I wonder whether there are real benefits to be obtained from co-operation rather than separation.
The same question may well apply to all human interaction.

Please. For all of us.

We continue to ask that you work out your issues with Hasselblad. Adobe has apparently been able to figure out a way to shoot tethered with LR. Your software has probably as big a following. How about it?

It is 2022 now and still nothing. Leaves me very disappointed and consider cancelling subscription which I would like to keep because the workflow can stay in one UI for majority of work.
BUT I will deal with a new workflow. Phocus and Photoshop. Or Phocus and Lightroom with Visual Flow plugin.
Surprise no follow up anymore from C-ONE apart from the initial response.1 -
C1 user since V3, I abandoned this product in the face of C1's contempt for X1D users. I use Lightroom.

I abandoned this excellent piece of software too because of the lack of Hasselblad support. So sad.

Likewise. Not prepared to subscribe or pay hefty annual upgrade cost for C1 if C1 won't work with Hasselblad files as well as my other RAW formats. Moved back to Lightroom.

I didn't buy the XD system because of that incompatibility with C1. I have installed all pro editing softwares on my computer but nothing compares to C1. leaving this platform feels to me like downgrading and I don't want to do it.
With the introduction of the X2D some rumors surfaced that it could be supported by C1, hope it will happens otherwise I will wait for PhaseOne to make a compact medium format system :-)

Who has cancelled their c1 subscription?

+1 For Hasselblad support!
Would be great to have some more information. The price of Capture One alongside Adobe means I am considering making a permanent switch to Lightroom where Hasselblad is supported.
