Importing Catalogs-Poor Capture1 Customer Support
We all know that we can import a Capture One catalog into another Capture One catalog. The purpose of my questions to support were/are to clarify what happens to albums, smart albums, files, and catalog storage size(s); and what happens if I delete the original catalog after importing. Customer Support took forever--ok busy; but my questions were just regurgitated back to me to look in the manual; then acknowledged that the manual is not clear; then back to non-answers. And, no reply since the last updated question since 2/22/21.
I did my own testing and came to certain conclusions. I expected more from the Tech Support Team at CP1. And, if they are monitoring this forum; they can refer to Support ID #77215- and contact me directly.

I'd think that creating a small test catalog and trying it would be a good way of finding out. It sounds as though you have done that, in which case perhaps you'd like to share your findings with the rest of us?

Ian, yes you are right. However, I want to first verify with CP1 before I make any statements. I've reached out again to them. Hopefully they will be responsive.

I have just received an answer from CP1 support. And, sent them a detailed reply asking for confirmation regarding merged import catalog structure. Once they confirm (assuming they confirm my conclusions); I'll post the entire workflow results.
