Editing RAW scans in C1
Hello I am currently LR user looking for alternative,
I hear lot of good things about C1. The situation is that I shoot exclusively on film. I don't even own digital camera.
I develop the film at home, scan, and edit the RAW file in LR.
Can I import the raw file into C1 and do the edit? Which C1 version do I need for that? Because there 120Euro difference for perpetual license for "all cameras" vs specific brand. But again I don't own digital camera and don't care about the option to import specific camera RAW files...

Then you need to get all camera version. Specific camera ones works only with that brand.
Also, you need to check of that specific RAW from your scanner is recognized by Capture One. While it has a broad support for camera, it doesn’t have the broadest support for cameras and scanners etc.

I also scan a lot of films, and process the results with Capture One. What do you mean by "RAW" ? Which scanner do you have ? As far as I am concerned, I use a flatbed scanner, mostly for MF (6x6) films and occasionnally for 24x36. My scanner software can deliver positive TIFF or negative "RAW", which are just TIFF embedded in a DNG. I process then both with Capture One (Full Pro, as I have also digital pictures taken from various cameras). I guess any version would work to do that, but not being sure, the best would be to try.

P D,
You will need the full version and not a camera specific version.
You would also need to create the scanned files as RGB and not Black and White. And there are some constraints about the size (pixel dimensions) of the files but you would probably need to be doing some quite extreme scans for the constraints to be a problem for you.
Check for information in the Release Notes.
Bear in mind that Capture One started out as a Digital Image RAW file conversion tool tuned to work with images from digital sensors. However it can indeed be used quite well for scanned images assuming that the scanner had good capabilities for the media you are scanning.

@Robert I also export to TIFF or DNG. I have older V700 but it does the job. I can use both Vuescan and Silverfast.
Ok looking at the other answers, C1 isn't probably for me, due to costs. I am not professional, I have this as a hobby and want to stop using LR because of the monthly costs.
I know there are free alternatives like Darktable, but honestly I don't even want to spend all the time downloading and testing everything. I can easily adapt to any UI as long as the app does the job. My priority is mostly the color management. I dont need any crazy functions, I dont even use the catalog in LR just do it manually...
I was also looking at the Luminar app which is overhyped, but based on the reviews it seems more like filter pack with some extra functions.

I also have an Epson V700, and VueScan. If you get TIFF or DNG, you can use Affinity Photo (about 60$ for a perpetual licence) for removing dusts and imperfections, but also adjust tones, contrast, etc... It works in the same way as Photoshop, and could be an option for processing scans.

My recommendation would be LR and Negative Lab Pro. Outstanding results with minimal input. NLP is one time cost and free upgrade till now. LR is 10UsD per month.
I don’t think C1P is the tool for negative conversation. Even if you flip the curves etc., it still works in opposite direction so a proper head ache to do every single time.

I currently use LR and NLP. Again the problem is LR costs
I can do conversion in scanning tool. Silverfast works quite nice.
Thank you all I will keep looking for alternative

Yes, if the issue with LR is the cost, the C1P is definitely not the right tool. As suggested, Afiinity is good, single pay. Plus you are happy with Silverfast, so all should be good.

A good alternative to NLP is the Analogue Toolbox for C1. It's a free plugin.
