Error loading adjustment mask
Hi there,
When I copy and paste an adjustment mask from one image to others, I have this message about an "Error loading adjustment mask" (I hope this is the good translation from my french version).
Usually, it does copy the selected mask, but it will also erase all the other masks on the selected images. I mean here that the layers are still visible in they panel, but the painted masks are gone. That means I have to draw them all again.
I work as a professional photographer and sometimes on a high amount of files. This is a huge waste of time and it is taking down and down my trust in your software as my favorite professional retouching tool...
I really hope you can provide some help as soon as possible.
Please feel free to ask details about my situation if they can help you to solve my problem.
I work on a 2018 Macbook Pro (no M1), with a regular version of C1 (not a beta), and on Sessions only.
Regards,
Romain.

Hi Michael,
Thanks for your comments.
Indeed I forget to say that I am working on C1 21, with sessions created on C1 21 also.My sessions are on the internal drive of my Mac.

the whole layer and mask behaviour is frustrating when you need to work with more than one image . I too stopped using c1 for this kind of tasks and moved to other software so I also do not know if the bugs are fixed with the latest version but would not be surprised if not. to suggest to use sessions only on internal drives tells me that professional user are clearly not in their focus anymore and when you look at the avalanche of sidecar files c1 produces it is clear that something fundumental is flawed and outdated.

Indeed, I think there is a true problem here, that may break the confidence of professional photographers in C1...
I've just opened a request, I hope they will be able to help or at least to answer me!

I've just started having the problem after the most recent update. (14.3). I opened a ticket and hopefully can get it resolved soon. It's very frustrating.

Hi Robert Olding
Did you get any reply from C1 with a fix?
I got the error two days ago when exporting and today again when I closed the program and reopened (14.4.1.6)

I'm now using the latest version of C1 22 (15.1.2) and haven't had the issue.
