Stop the trend to a more simplified UI and do not follow other software companies in their pursuit of a broad user base.

I came from Lightroom and was quit happy with Capture One as it was aimed at users on a professional level.

But given the changes introduced in the last update I am worried I have to look around once more. Not only because of the change itself, but it is an indication of what to expect from Capture One in the near future. For the time being I will not upgrade until the future development of Capture One is clear.

Just adding a vote to revert this export change. It was working just fine and very efficiently as it was and I use it all the time.

It would be redundant of me to repeat what 3 pages of other C1 users have already said. Still, I am flummoxed for "why" "batch queue" and "output tool tab" were perturbed and removed. I don't have and refuse to have a Twitter account and thus a challenge to voice displeasure. I do wonder "who" the target audience is justifying some changes and/or what the coding framework may be to force it out? I think it is more the former and therefore can remove myself from future C1 licensing... there are other "fish in the sea" but have enjoyed some C1 functionality and features.

@Robert I think the we should wait until next update. This will show to us, how important we are for C1 Team. BTW I own perpetual licence and 14.2 is still great tool. I can live without Magic Brush, so I just will stick with this version. It’s nice to have all needed tools in one software, but there will never be a perfect solution.

@Marcin this was also my thinking to wait until the next update. Since 14.2 was quite adequate, will roll back to this rev and wait. There were no bug issues with my use and will be content to stay with 14.2. For some reason the move to 14.3 and update of the database lost these histories along with hanging up now and then. Will revert and recover these adjustments if can.

It’s not so hard. Just create new session with similar name and move folders between sessions ✌️

Indeed, had not reverted but thought this would be the method to re-sync folders, images.

Unfortunately, this killed my workflow as well.

How will they fix this? I hope this does not end in a dumpster fire for my workflow.

Then, I could use the adobe stuff as well..

Stop dumbing down pro-level software. I ditched Lightroom for this.

Easy. They are working on in.

Following community feedback about the redesigned exporter, we are happy to announce that we are introducing the possibility to add the new exporter tools in the main UI. It will also be possible to pause and resume an export. Cross-recipe-naming and cross-recipe-sub-folders will also return.
These updates will be included in Capture One 21 (14.4) - launching at the end of September.
As we move forward, we will continue to make our robust feature set more accessible without taking away the advanced functionality critical to the workflow of so many professional photographers.
To keep you updated and gather feedback about the re-release of these functionalities we have created a feedback group. To sign up, please use the form here: (hyperlink)

They are happy to announce that they are 'introducing' a feature which has always been there but they decided to kill. Right.

So we don't get the Process Queue back, no way to reorder export priority, no way to delete certain items without cancelling the entire list.

Oh and I love the "we will continue to make our robust feature set more accessible without taking away the advanced functionality critical to the workflow of so many professional photographers."

Except that's exactly what they just did.

A bit of honesty Capture One. You tried to be clever, annoyed a whole lot of pro's and loyal customers and are now backtracking with egg on your face. Tone down the corporate double talk.

I think we should wait for 14.4.
I hope the new solution will bring back output tabs as we knew them. ✌️

    Thanks.

    I am a Facebook refuser...

And the feedback group will probably be a Facebook group, right?

Capture One have sent out a survey to those who signed up to the feedback group above. If you did so, please fill out and return. It's not worded particularly well and there is at least one question repeated twice but it's worth persevering. Seems obvious that although the output tab might be returning they are not that ready to return the Process Queue and history tab. I have no idea why or why they didn't imagine that feedback prior to these changes might be a good idea but in any case, let's get the feedback to them.

this survey is strange, confusing and redundant  and not really an articulation of competence, seems the person setting it up has no clou what it is about.

i also wondered who actually put this survey together. also it's pretty much requirements engineering gone wrong instead of focusing on user journey and value add for this set of capabilities....

I agree with all the criticism. The output panel is a very important tool for our jobs. I work in LA and don't know anyone who doesn't use the output And batch panel everyday. I have a subscription license, but will have to go back to a perpetual license if the output tool panel is removed. Or just quit capture one altogether. I don't understand these new changes. They are making everything harder for on set use.

I'm ok with the new export window but having control over Batch is vital (pause, reorder, delete the line).

    Hey Capture One,

Bring this back pronto please!  And would appreciate a general survey polling everyone before making a very unnecessary and crucial change next time.  Thanks!

I have to wonder whether the fix will only be part of C1 22 due to be released in the coming months and will require paying for the upgrade. Wouldn't be surprised by the 'venture capital' model of C1 that we have been seeing since they were bought.

hm, don´t remember what it was but some years ago they promised a fix but later announced it was not worth to implement it in the actually version as the new version was just around the corner and they decided to focus all their engery on this release. so yes it would not be a surprise....

Having agreed to the NDA I can't say anything specific, but anyone interested in this topic I'd highly recommend checking out the brand new 14.4 beta

Please fix what you broke. I don’t care about the reason or focus groups of You Tubers. This is for Pro Users and Studios, if it’s hard too learn for beginners too bad. That’s part of learning Pro software!
