Not sure if this is the date you mean (capture date) but it is displayed correctly on the german locale:

    0
  • FirstName LastName

    Yep, this is the one!
The problem is i’m using english interface. And for some reason for english interface US date format is forced!

Maybe you have set an application specific date format in the system settings?

MacOS system settings --> Date and Time --> Language & Region --> Tab "Apps" at the top

There you can set the format for any app separately.

@Mario, the issue is present for nine years, you can check similar topics, the issue was never resolved. The "apps" tab was added only in Big Sur. I'm rockin' Mojave and don't have it.
(by the way, it's not necessary to go to Date&Time to get to Language&Region – it's the first level category of it's own)

The issue is the Capture One and only the Capture One. Devs, please, fix this.

I get dates (in English) the same way round as Mario does (in German).

Ian, where are you from? What localization do you use? (they say Ireland localization gives you normal date format+english, but there's no apparent way to do that trickery on mac os)
    I get this:

Despite the system and literally every other app uses the normal date formating:

    0
  • FirstName LastName

Ok, I caught what is wrong here! It's the Mac OS that has the dates wrong, and I fixed it manually years ago. And since I migrate from my previous computer to a new one each time, I never noticed this.

But Capture One grabs not the date format that is set in the system, but the one that was assigned by an operating system to a particular localization by default... So I guess thanks, Capture One :D I raised this issue with apple ))
