    That is normal.

The export window is showing what the approx file size will be after exporting as a jpeg image.  Jpeg images, even at 100 % quality are compressed.   Some examples:

I've a 5976x3992 pixel raw file that is a 25 MB DNG file out of camera.  It will be about

    • 17 MB if exported as jpeg at using a quality of 100
    • 68 MB if exported as 8 bit tiff
    • 136 MB if exported as 16 bit tiff
    • 4 MB if exported as jpeg at 86% using a quality of 90.

The size will never match the raw size exactly and there is no reason that it should.  BTW: my last example was using the "QuickProof (preview size) recipe.

And my 17 MB 100%/100 quality example at 17 MB...  if I run it through the jpeg mini app the size is further reduced to 5.6MB.   In the fast majority of images I can not tell the difference when looking at the jpeg mini before and after versions side-by-side, even when pixel peeping at 100%.

Mr. Hyman, thank you for the answer. I thought it is something wrong with the Capture One on M1. And of course I was wondering what is the point on having 42MP camera with 86MB file if CO not recognizing that..I bought this camera to be able to cropp and to have left good resolution as well after cropping.
    Best regards,
    Tibs
