Default Fuji RAF rendering does not match Fuji JPG

Of course I can provide examples of a RAF, its out of camera JPG, the XnView JPG saved from RAF and the C1 JPG from RAF (using defaults as imported). You'd clearly see the first 3 are the same, the last one is not.

Why would you expect Capture One to match the Fuji rendering?

If I view the raw file in XnViewMP it matches the out of camera jpeg perfectly. Using XnView to save the .RAF as a .JPG also results in a file that looks identical.

As its name implies, it's a viewer, not a converter - you're seeing the preview jpeg embedded in the Raw file, so it's sure to match the out of camera jpeg, because it's SHOWING the out of camera jpeg.

Well ok, that's embarrassing. Here I was thinking the app actually converted raw to display. It even warned me the preview was being downsampled to 8-bit.
Found a setting that changes "use embedded preview" to either half or full size raw file... which indeed looks a lot different.

Comparing the actual raw viewer (not using embedded jpeg) I have to say C1 does far better than the washed out version that regular viewer shows. Still have to change clarity to +5, structure to +10 and increase some sharpening to match OOC sharpness (set to 0/neutral) better.

Still wonder why the lens distortion correction differs, while the EXIF tags contain all the distortion, aberration and vignetting parameters. Portraits now by default make someone look fatter than they are and vignetting/light falloff is not corrected.

Some of these are easily overcome by a custom style I made containing most tweaks, only distortion correction is not a one size fits all focal lengths :)

Hi,I found that some of the parameter settings on Fujifilm cameras could not be render from the RAF file. Similarly, I think it would be more reasonable to use the JPG out of camera as the starting point for editing, cause Fujifilm camera users love the internal camera settings very much. In fact, the "X RAW studio" does the same logic as we want.

Is there any other way to meet my needs in Capture One ?
